Heartbeat

The kids & I went with Becky to her doctor appointment this afternoon.

We heard the heartbeat of our little baby that is due in July. The kids are really excited. I'm sure Andy & Em are excited too because it should free Owen of the constant attention from Emily & Parker.

At 7pm Thomas, Sony and Josh came over to spend New Year's Eve with us. Becky set out a table full of snacks, we exchanged Christmas presents and played Wii. Thomas drew Josh some pictures that we got to enjoy for a second before Josh erased them.

Josh loved target shooting...

but wasn't happy when Thomas wanted a turn.

We had a lot of fun and Josh won the prize for staying awake the longest.
At 1:20am Thomas was ready to go but Josh wasn't...

"Let's go Josh.", Thomas said. To which Josh replied, "One second."

"Ok, let's go Josh, it's cold." Thomas said again. "ONE SECOND!" Josh replied.

They eventually drove off at 1:30am.

Christmas Day

Hi Pops. Here are the photos of the day.
We woke up early... well, the kids woke up early and they woke us up.

We played the game of trying guess what's inside before tearing off the paper.

Becky gave me our family as characters made out of wood.

Parker got the olives he wished for. He was super excited.

This is one of Parker's favorite gifts of the day, a fat Hulk figure. It was Emily's present for him.

Parker gave Emily Indiana Jones Legos. She loves them.

Emily gave me a big hug after I gave her a Will Turner towel.

I gave Parker his own Rubik's Cube.

You may remember back in September when Parker & I went to Target. He really wanted this Star Wars Lego set and hid it so it would still be there for when Santa did his shopping. He got one from me and one from Santa. You can never have enough Legos. It's the greatest toy on earth.

From Becky I received the new CD from my favorite band.

I don't think this needs any explanation.

Becky gave me the He-Man Christmas movie. LOL! I can't wait to watch it!

I gave Becky an Eddie Bauer sweater and an Eddie Bauer Sweatshirt. She loves them.

One of my favorite and funniest presents of the day, a rubber shark filled with blood and body parts.

The kids played for a while and then we drove over to Becky's parent's place.

We exchanged presents and everybody had ham for dinner. A few of us had shrimp too. Becky hates shrimp but I love it.
After eating we went to see Mutti and everybody.

While the kids opened a few presents we talked to you (Pops) on the phone which was really nice.

It snowed ALL day! It was great!

Jamie received her JHG Calendar for 2009. She loved it. I think it's the one gift she looks forward to the most every year. This is the 8th calendar I've made for her.

Then we took a break to eat some salty ham. Jamie got a ham at work that she was supposed to soak in water to get the salt out. I think it was 20% ham and 80% salt. Axel just drowned it in Curry Ketchup.

At 11:00pm Parker still had a present to open...
as soon as it was unwrapped he collapsed. He was worn out.

Then I opened a Taebo staff and Axel and I went to work.

Mutti gave me a cool Movie Monsters book. I read the whole thing right after I opened it, I love movie stuff.
Jamie wanted to laugh so she told me to wear this Santa mask. Now why would Santa have a beard that grows over his nose?

After everybody went to bed Axel & Jamie wanted to watch Maury, so I stayed up with them to eat chocolate and watch Maury till 2:30am.

It was a great Christmas except that we missed having you there.
We love you Opa.
