I Love Adobe Photoshop

A while ago Thomas gave me this photo

It's one of my favorite photos of him. It's great for Photoshopping.

Today he became one of the WATCHMEN.

This image of him with Kara Monaco is my favorite.

I like this one too because it makes me laugh.

Here are others I've created including my friends Cal, Sean, Cristina, Shelley and Mike.

The TRANSPORTER

Just for fun...
Transporter 3 opens November 26th.

I found this in my box this morning when I came in to work. If I remember right it was taken back in 2007.

I like to color

I colored this today.

Ok, I didn't "color" it but I'm told that that is what I do all day. Color, take naps and have punch & cookies. I should add that I play with my Rubiks Cube too and occasionally visit Sean while he pushes a few buttons.
Today Sean came to work, wrote a few emails, complained that U23D isn't being advertised all over the theatre, pushed play a few times, walked across the street to see me, we went and got a drink and then we went upstairs where he read an email reminding him to push a button on something and then he turned off his computer. Then he went home.
Reading this you probably figured out that we work at a daycare center. Color, push buttons, take walks, enjoy punch & cookies and go home.
It's Awesome!

Gradients are cool

When working in the coloring industry it's important to know what your tools can do.
Every tool is useful. Otherwise why would they have made it. Don't ever let someone tell you that a tool isn't useful simply because they've never used it. I once had someone tell me that the pen tool was useless - that person was an idiot. His parents were probably idiots too...

There are so many tools to play with but today we'll be focusing on the Gradient tool.

The gradient tool takes two or more images and blends them together. It can create very cool effects. I used gradients to create this Traitor web banner.
Kristy likes the gradient tool and was trying to use it on an ad we were working on.

She was having a little trouble...

It obviously wasn't as easy as it looked.

Now you'll see how easy it really is. After learning this tool you'll be as excited as you were when you first found out how many different fonts there are. Remember?

Let's use these two photos.

Using the move tool, located at the top of the tool bar, drag the pizza sign photo onto the pizza photo. Position the top photo how ever you like. With the top layer selected click on the Add layer mask icon at the bottom of the layer palette to add a layer mask to the selected layer.

Now with the top layer still selected take the gradient tool and click on the pizza sign image at a point where you want the gradient to begin and hold the mouse down while you move to another point to mark where the gradient will end. Make sure that your foreground and background colors are set to the
black & white default.

Now you have blended two images together and it should look something like this.

Oh, and here's the finished ad.

Oldies

While Becky's playing Oblivion on the little orange couch I'm going through some old photos.

Huyh, I'm Gronge Bonee Guengee. Huyh, I'm Horna Gongee Gongee. Huyh, I'm Grogash Stuelee Maaho. Well met!
One of the creatures Becky is currently talking to. She can't quite make out his name... Huyh, I'm Grogash Gewno...

Here are some images I made long ago...

This is one of my very first Photoshop images.

This I made for Stefan

This was made on a day when I just felt like doodling.
It's one of my favorite images.

One of my first photographs. It's Gogo's favorite.

I think this was the first time I altered a movie poster.
It still makes me laugh.

A goofy drawing of Glenn as a pirate... ...and The Elementary Theory of Journal Love.

In Memory of Heath Ledger

I really liked Heath Ledger's movies. I think he was a great actor and I'm looking forward to his final film, The Dark Knight.

It's sad that he had to go so soon.
He will be missed.

As a tribute to him I made this shortly after his death on January 22, 2008.
I made it for a contest that was held on Worth 1000 as a tribute to Heath.

Pac-Man and Hans Pflaume

Pac-Man came to visit us. After Pa made him 8 hotdogs and 4 giant bowls of linsensuppe he had 2 gallons of ice-cream for dessert. Then he had an extra bowl of ice-cream while he played Mario Kart.

Later on we created... Hans Pflaume.
