Edward for Christmas

It's the last Saturday before Christmas. In the evening we went over to Jacque's house to spend time with her and Arlena. We gave each other gifts.
Jacque got a slideshow keychain with great pictures of Michael Caine, Gene Hackman, Ron Howard and other great actors.

We gave Arlena an Edward Barbie and Arlena had one for Jacque too. They're both crazy for Twilight.

We had tacos (I had a fruit dip taco because nobody told me that what I thought was sour cream was actually fruit dip), we talked, Emily and Parker watched The Emperor's New Groove and Linkin was happy the whole time. After dinner I went into Jacque's little studio to shoot pictures of the Edward dolls for day #43 of my 365 Day Toy Project.

Jacque has a really nice set-up. The one thing I'm missing are some good lamps.
She let me try out her little studio and I'm happy with how the photos turned out.

Stefan talks about a great movie

Talked to Stefan tonight. It was fun.
He told me about a Christmas show he was watching. You can read about it below.
He says it's an American show but it doesn't sound familiar.

He says it's great and if you know what he's talking about you should definitely watch it. LOL.

New Food

Hi Axel. I'm updating today just for you and Jamie.
I went out to the Megaplex 20 today to take another photo for the new Smokey's BBQ place.
New Smokey's
I don't like BBQ but maybe you should try it sometime.
BBQ Chicken, potato salad, corn bread and baked beans

Here's something I should've posted on December 7th. Remember how my banner designs were too childish? Well, somebody decided to decorate the theatre with creepy floating heads.
Floating Heads
Girl Elf
Frightened Girl Elf
Icee
I would file this idea under Epic Fail. Not just because they're creepy and "Adult" looking, but because it also gives little kids with nothing better to do the chance to take them and put them in inappropriate places.

Yeah... creepy head stickers are a great idea.

So, after I gave Jamie a ride home tonight I went and did some Christmas shopping. My tank was empty so I had to get some gas. Before I pumped the gas I went into the gas station to get two hot dogs and a Mango Gatorade. I wanted to make a chili dog but unfortunately the chili dispenser had a spray nozzle.

Crepe Night

I took some pictures today of the new food items that will be available at Peter's 4th restaurant. First there was Matilda's, then O'Brian's, Little Italy and now Smokey's. The new Smokey's will be replacing Little Italy at the Megaplex 20 around December 16th I think.

In the evening Jamie & Axel came over for Emily's crepes.

We had dinner and then we played with the kids and watched the Glutton Olympics. Five guys compete to see who can eat the most butter in five minutes and then five other guys compete to see who can eat the most mayonnaise. The winner ate something like four salad bowls of mayonnaise. YUMMY! 10,000 calories.
I'm preparing for the Nutella Competition.

Vintage Fail

Today was the second attempt of trying to create a Christmas image to display on the outside wall of the Megaplex Theatre. My first images we're too childlike. A few people didn't like the cheerful cartoon images and want something more vintage.
I'm not an amazing artist and I usually just draw cute little characters. Vintage? What's that? Ok, so I have an idea of what vintage is but why would we want to display old vintage images on the outside of the theatre? We're a theatre, not a museum. In my opinion the banners should be more inviting.
So, anyway, I gave it a shot and failed. Now whoever is decorating the inside of the theatre with their "vintage" stuff might have something for the outside as well. We'll see.
The project could've been done and delivered on time for the December 1st deadline but now it's on hold. We'll see what vintage stuff will be displayed or if this project is simply forgotten about.
I won't be surprised if nothing is done.

So... after creating four different images,
I have done one of the freshest wastes ever.
Ok, so I created something that won't be used to decorate the theatre, but I learned a few new things about Illustrator and I've decided I'm going to use my designs for Christmas cards.
Plus, Becky, the kids, and other family and friends like my work and really that means more to me than what some co-worker thinks.
