Up at 4am

Good morning.
I woke up at 4 this morning because Linkin was hungry, again. I'm pretty sure he ate at 3:45am. Becky made him a bottle and then I took him downstairs so Becky could sleep.

He ate while I went on facebook and then I noticed my Mom was online so we talked for a half hour. Thanks to the Cyberdyne Systems Corporation we're able to talk to each other through the liquid metal modulating video transmitter.
Roland was there too. He came on right as the camera went into invisible mode.
Bye Mutti. Remember to bring back a dinosaur, Luftschokolade, Ritter Sport, Kinder Eggs and two fish sandwiches. Thank you!
Then Parker woke up and came downstairs to see Linkin. Then it happened...
the cutest photo of the day.

New Magnet & movie stuff

Linkin was fussy all night so we hardly got any sleep. I woke up at 8am but immediately crashed on my pillow 2 minutes later. At 9:15am Becky came in surprised that I wasn't awake and woke me up. Huh... 9:15... I should go to work.
While I was putting the final touches on the new Megaplex magnet Becky took Parker to Target to get the Snake Eyes Mask. He counted out the money he had saved and was way excited Becky said.
Here's the finished magnet.
Right after work I took Amber, Lindsay and the kids to TRANSFORMERS on the IMAX. It marks the 4th time I've seen it now. Parker loves Skids & Mudflap. He kept repeating the question Skids asks Mudflap about Leo, "Hey Mudflap, what should we do with this shrimp taco". He couldn't stop laughing.

Father, son evening

Tonight Becky went with Kristie and Emily to a baby shower and I got to spend time with Parker, some father and son time.
Becky dropped him off at the theatre and he played with some G.I. Joe cards that Cal gave us while I finished my work. Once I was done we put on some tattoos before going to BK.

Parker loves chicken nuggets regardless if it's Burger King or McDonald's. He even told me when I was ordering, "Just get me the usual please."
Then we were off to Target to check out the G.I. Joe movie figures.
Guess who we saw there... Thomas and Sony. They were there to check out the toys too. Thomas was excited about the new Legos. Thomas, you get paid tomorrow...
you know what you need to do. This looks like a really fun set. This would be great to pass the time at work. It even comes with a cute Han Solo figure. After you clock in and get your check just take a "break" and run over to Target. Legos are great for days when you have to work a double. It will also be a great addition to your shrine of toys.

Parker and I got a few G.I. Joes. I even found one Hawk figure, it was the only one. Hawk is played by Dennis Quaid in the G.I.Joe movie.

G.I.Joe opens August 7th.

Parker was excited about the Snake Eyes Sword & Mask. He's going to see if he has enough money at home to come back and get it.
We said goodbye to Thomas & Sony. They went over to Harmons to get some dinner. I hope you didn't get the ten piece chicken bucket with the two gallon bucket of gravy. I hope you made a healthy food choice.
On our way home we hit traffic. The traffic lights were out and some idiot ahead of us weaseled his way ahead of his turn and almost got hit. I don't understand why people don't understand how a four way stop works. Each car takes their turn, kind of like when you're in line at a waterpark waiting to go down the water slide. People don't just pile on top of each other to slide down the slide, you could get injured. It would seem that that rule would apply to traffic even more so, but no. I watched how 4 cars would go at a time while other angry people would just pull out into the intersection honking and yelling. Totally ridiculous.
After getting home safely Parker was excited for carnaging. It was Red Faction time! We even have the sound hooked up to the stereo speakers for bigger sound like when Glenn and I played years ago.
Those were fun times: Prepare to be carnaged by the CARNAGER!

After Red Faction we played with Parker's new G.I. Joe figures.
Snake Eyes had to battle Storm Shadow, The Rhino and Shredder.

Storm Shadow's demise was the worst. He got cooked in the microwave.
We had a great time. As we decided to take it easy and watch Tomb Raider, Parker snuggled up next to me and fell asleep. It was a fun father, son evening.

Lunch for Dad

I spent most of my morning talking to Pops and Mutti which left me no time to make a lunch, so Becky and the kids brought me a lunch. It was nice to see them.
Emily sent an email to Jamie.

Linkin tried on my shades.
Parker found a spot to rest and enjoy his bag of marshmallows.
Linkin was sleeping when they arrived and wasn't happy when I took him out of his car seat to give him hugs and kisses. Crying Kopf.

I think Emily likes my desk.

Across the World

This morning Linkin woke up hungry at 5:30am. After we took care of him and got him to burp we logged on to the World Cam Modulator and Mutti came online. Awesome. We got to talk to her, Pops, Roland and Hagen & Frauke. The uplink transformed into liquid mode every now and then but it was still very cool to talk to everybody all the way across the world.
Pops also got to see Linkin. Since he just ate he was content and sleeping.
Remember Mutti, I'll be online tonight at 10pm / 6am your time.

Family Night

After another 'Up All Night with Linkin' night it was Monday and I had to go to work. Becky stayed home with zappel kopf and Emily and Parker.
In the evening I brought home KFC for us
and then we went to the park to play Frisbee like Hagen and I did with my Dad at the Nordsee where we lost all out Taschengeld because we couldn't catch the frisbee.

Becky and Linkin just watched/slept.

Basement

Our basement is slowly coming together thanks mostly to Becky's family that loves building rooms. They have years of experience. The kids love it and don't care if it's not quite finished yet. They spent most of the day in the basement.

Webcam Setup and Bath time

My Mom is going to see my Dad in Germany tomorrow morning, so I drove out to her house to set up skype and facebook in order to communicate with her while she's there. Hagen's already over there.
When I got home I talked to the kids for a bit and tucked them into bed. Then I had to give Linkin a bath.
