The holiday started off with bloody crepes that Emily and Mommy made. They were delicious.

Then Linkin had his first taste of rice cereal. He liked it.

After breakfast I went with Parker to clean the storage and gather up the few remaining items, including the bike my Dad left for Parker.
Parker loves it.



Parker was a birthday present and Emily a mummy.

Thomas came over to join in the fun. He brought a Gonk Droid with and Josh who was Spider-Man.

The Gonk Droid (Sony) couldn't move very fast. The two of them decided to just stand on the street corner and pose for photographs from all the fans who walked by in amazement. Everybody couldn't believe that there was a giant Gonk Droid roaming the streets. It definitely won Best Costume of the Night!

True fans of Star Wars knew exactly what was walking through the neighborhood. Other people thought it was Wall-E, or maybe a refrigerator, a TV or maybe it's an ATM.
Gogo also came by and joined us. Linkin was excited to see her.

Anakin was a freeloader

I'm online right now with Stefan. He called to vent about his friend that he had to kick out of his apartment because he was leeching off of him.

He's annoyed that he's now leeching off someone else instead of going out and getting a job.

Stefan said this, "He’s a weak antelope with crutches for legs and he leans on other healthy antelopes for support."

"He needs a serious wake up call and have a lion eat him up so the healthy antelopes can live their lives."

"It’s like I’m Obi-Wan and he’s my padowan but he’s an idiot and can't take care of himself. Did you ever see Anakin pay for anything? You think he bought his own lightsaber? Yoda or one of those other guys in the council bought it for him. He’s a pretty clever freeloader, right?"

"I would like to help him without being involved. As a person he’s not interesting anymore but I wish he wouldn’t waste his life like Anakin did."

"Woah! Have we been talking for an hour?" It's 8am in Germany and Stefan has to go to sleep.

Replenish and Refuel

Can't you see that I'm starving? I just ate 20 minutes ago!

When Becky and I first brought Linkin home he seemed to be hungry every 20 minutes. He ate non-stop all day and all night. First 2 ounces, then 4 and then 6 ounces. It's never enough!

So today I made a real bottle, "A bottle for babies that never get full" bottle. No more wimpy 6 ounce bottles. Ha! 6 ounces, what's that? He looks at me after eating a measly 6 ounces with a look on his face like - Is That All?

Well not anymore. Today he got a 64 oz bottle! We're not giving him milk anymore since he just throws that up. What nutrients does he really get from milk anyway? With Gatorade he's getting all the electrolytes he needs along with his daily allowance of high fructose corn syrup, sucrose syrup and sodium citrate. We just grab a bottle of Gatorade and twist the nipple on.

That's right, no more wimpy 4 oz bottles for my son.

Scarecrow Festival

Today we went with Mike's family to the Scarecrow Festival.

First we had to go to his house so we could drive there together.

While in his driveway Mitch Murphy came over to inspect Becky's car.

"I live across the street. You guys going to the Scarecrow Festival? Does this car get good gas mileage?"

"Does it have automatic transmission?"
"Does it have four-wheel drive?"
"How fast does this thing go?"
"Do you guys like SpongeBob? Well, have a fun time. I gotta go. Bye!"

Then we were on our way.

They had a bunch of blow up structures for the kids to slide and bounce around on.


They loved it!

There was a giant pumpkin.

Mike got a cool treat. A cup of crushed ice.
Emily got the same.
Max also likes plain snow cones.

Going for one last bounce on Pirates Cove.
Emily crawled into the whale through it's rectum.

Linkin was hungry and Becky forgot to pack food so we stopped at Target quick before going home. There Linkin picked up a new friend.
