I was set up

by my boss, who for the last year and a half would ask me how my family was doing and how my world is. My world is a world of rage right now. I worked at Megaplex Theatres for 8 years and this is how it ends. I'm given a ridiculous, outrageous review and then one week later, on the 19th, I'm fired for it and now today, the following Monday he already has a replacement.
This is the only way I know to get rid of my anger. If I'm going to move on I have to get this out of me. I was betrayed. For what? There must be something to gain for him. A big raise this year, because now he was able to save more money by hiring a new guy for half of what I was worth. Plus, by setting me up to be fired he won't have to worry about giving out a severance package. Some say he was intimidated and had to get rid of me to feel more superior.

This whole thing makes me sick.
Really I would like to nominate Jeff for employee of the month for being such a good example to me of what not to be.

For several months he had me wasting my time by designing things he was never going to use. I guess that was supposed to make me angry so I would just quit, except that I don't like to lose. So in the end the only way to get rid of me was to use his imagination to come up with the worst review he could think of. It's just not right and I have been battling with the rage inside of me all weekend.

I'm trying my hardest to remember the lesson I learned Sunday.
"The ability to turn everything into something good appears to be a godly characteristic. Everything, no matter how dire, becomes a victory to the Lord. People who follow the Lord's example cannot be defeated".
To me this is not an easy feat.

One other thing I thought of was a quote from a great movie.
"Life is a storm. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes."

I'm praying I can make it through this storm.

We Love Snow

I think the weather man said we were going to get a light snow fall in the mountains.
The weather man tells good jokes.

So I used this opportunity to take my 127th toy picture.
Toy of the day
It-it-it's F-F-F-F-Freezing!
The kids put their snowsuits on and went out to build a snowman.
They went from this little ball of snow...

to this.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it. It was massive. I grabbed my gloves and helped them build their huge snowman.
Parker jumped off the giant snowball several times
while Emily worked on the second snowball.
Emily got a carrot from Becky while Parker started on another snowman.

We built two. The snow was excellent! Perfect for making snowmen.
The top fell off the second one so it became a short and fat snowman. The kids had a great time.

Happy Birthday Parker!

He got to open one present in the morning before school.
It was the the Resistance figure that he talked about all month long.
He was excited.

Steelhead Resistance figure
After the kids went to school Linkin and I played for a little before I went to the doctor to get my pink eye checked out.
I tried to go into work after he told me it was highly contagious and I should wear a face mask, but they didn't want me there. So I went home and cleaned the house for Parker's Party.
He got these from Gogo.

Parker wasn't interested in having his picture taken 85 times, so I had everybody else hold up what he got.

He loved all his presents except for the clothes he got. Kids find clothes to be the dumbest presents ever and they're immediately thrown to the side with the wrapping paper.

Linkin liked the cars the most.

Parker was really excited for his Marzipan cake.

Wie süß ist die denn?

Well, you can see right here how cute my sister's baby is. Süß so bundled and wearing a hat.

She was born today at around 1:26am Jamie told me. I can't go up to visit because I've now got pinkeye in my left eye. I woke up yesterday with my eyes sealed shut and went to work where everyone was terrified to come near me.
Get Well Soon
Bust out the disinfectant wipes
Last weekend I had pinkeye in my right eye. This is what happens when you have kids, you get to try out all the illnesses you missed out on before you had kids. I was never this sick before. Now, I'm always sick! The kids pick up something from school or wherever other sick kids hang out, then they share it with each other and bring it home for us to enjoy.
So, Jamie enjoy this time of cuteness and health because in a few years you'll get to experience the flu, pinkeye, strep, ear infection and vomiting
all at once.

Becky's the Best!

Becky wanted to go out on a date tonight. Amber came over to watch the kids and then we drove into the city. Thank you Amber.
We went to Siegfried's. I had never been there before and it was a really nice surprise. It's a little German delicatessen and it has all kinds of German food and goodies.
She took me through the little deli and showed me all the stuff they have. Zwieback, Marzipan, Herringe, Milka, Odol, Fa and a lot more. Except they don't have Luftschokolade.
I ordered us some food in German. The woman was really happy to help us.

I ordered the Bratwurst with Bratkartoffeln and Sauerkraut and Becky got the Gurken Salat with Sauerkraut.
It was delicious!

They even had Kinderschokolade. Just don't eat too much of it all at once. I had a bad experience long ago.
Then we drove over to The Gateway. We were thinking of watching a movie at the Megaplex 12, but we got there at 8:00pm and everything started at nine. So instead we went for a walk through the plaza. We saw the Hot Topic store and had to go in. We love Hot Topic.
Inside we saw cool Michael Jackson stuff (which gave us some ideas for Parker's birthday), cool belt buckles (for my birthday), Twilight stuff (for Emily's birthday), Harry Potter stuff (for Becky's Birthday) and a BIOSHOCK shirt which I couldn't wait for my birthday for. I bought it. Gogo, if you're reading this, this is what I used your Christmas money for. Thanks!

We walked past a bunch of other shops and then had to peek inside the Mac store for a second. Becky likes this happy guy.

After making a full circle through the Gateway we drove home and I had some of the delicious Marzipan cake that we bought at Siegfried's.
Rührkuchen Slices Thank you Becky for a wonderful night that I'll never forget.
I love you!
