I'm back in Germany after 12 & 1/2 years

After flying through the night and playing DS to pass the time we arrived in Frankfurt.

We went down to the baggage claim to get our luggage and saw this.
I asked myself "What the...?"
I always have to get a picture of a What the... moment.
I'm sorry, but if I ever took a dog with me on vacation, not that I ever would, but if I did I sure wouldn't be carrying it's lazy butt around in a handbag as my carry on. Freakin' dog wants to come with it better be walkin'.

Once we retrieved our bags we made our way to the train.

Along the way I saw these cool sphere chairs and had to try them out. Before I could do so, this guy mumbling some language which might've been German said I had to place my suitcase to the side. He was very persistent about where I placed it. I sat my suitcase down and he motioned to the side of the wall so I moved it a little. That wasn't far enough and he motioned again, "Hier hin" he said. "Hier?" I replied. "Nein, hier!" he told me again. I finally had my suitcase in the correct area and was able to try out the chair but first I had to sign the guest book.

It was a cool chair.

As we continued on our way we passed this train station ad. What the...?

This ad reminded me of Emily.

These are some people waiting for the train.

You can buy Nutella to go!

Thomas would love it here, there are no simple trash cans, there are recycling bins everywhere.

On the train we got the bad side and I had to shoot all the castles through the train. I was sad about that because there were a lot of castles that I just couldn't get a nice picture of.

Instead I had a great view of all the graffiti.

This kid was climbing all over the train like a monkey.

When we arrived in Bielefeld Axel was there to pick us up. He drove us to Jochen's place.
On the way there we passed where I used to live, Detmolder Straße 47.

This is Jochen, my Dad's brother.

There's a picture of Jochen, my Dad and Roland on Jochen's wall and so I snapped a photo just like it.

Outside Jochen's house the entire Detmolder Straße is under construction.

This is where Jochen's family lives.

We went into the city to get some Luft Shokolade but didn't find any. My Dad got hungry so we stopped at a Chinese place in the mall and ate some noodles.
