WALL-E and Optimus

Today I spent the day with Emily and Parker while Becky served as an usher at the temple open house. We stopped at Target first to look at the new Transformers for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Alphagraphics gave me a Target gift card to say thank you for all the business I send their way. We had fun until we noticed that Parker was missing his favorite sunglasses. He was really sad and I felt bad. It reminded me of when I lost my favorite sunglasses in Disneyland.
After comforting Parker we went to the Army/Navy store to get a treasure chest for Emily. She wanted a big one at first but I convinced her to get something a little smaller.
Emily had a $3.00 gift card to Toys 'R' Us so we went there next. They have a giant remote control WALL-E.

Smart? This sounds very familiar. I remember Kyle Reese saying, "They got smart, a new order of intelligence. Then they saw all people as a threat, not just the ones on the other side. Decided our fate in a microsecond: extermination." Then John Connor learns from the Terminator sent back in time to protect him that Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th. When it becomes self-aware it spreads into millions of computer servers across the planet. Ordinary computers in office buildings, dorm rooms; everywhere. It's software; in cyberspace. There's no system core; it can not be shutdown. Judgment Day, the day the human race will almost be destroyed by the WALL-Es they built to play with. It's all going to start at Toys 'R' Us.

James Cameron wasn't just making an awesome science fiction movie. He knows the future and he was using his movies as a warning. WALL-E looks cute but he's just the beginning of the Terminators that are going to eventually turn on us. You might want to load up on ammunition, magma and liquid nitrogen just in case.
While we were there I met up with my friend Chris, who is one of the original crew that still works there. I told him about Skynet and he immediately threw WALL-E in the trash compactor and then dumped the scraps into the magma vat in the back of the building.
After doing everything we could to prevent Judgment Day he hooked me up with the newest Hot Wheels and a Treasure Hunt car. Awesome!
It was a great day to be out and about. Great clouds.

Here are the Transformers that the kids bought with their saved money. Emily bought Knock Out.

Parker bought Robot Heroes. Megatron and Autobot Skids.

This is the Trea$ure Hunt car.

Here's the Optimus Prime Daddy bought.
He lights up and says, "I am Optimus Prime."
